There are a number of festivals and events where local people celebrate their culture and heritage and invite others to join in. Come and meet the people of the Geopark who will delight in sharing with their culture and traditions with you.
The Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark takes part in the European Geoparks week and National Heritage week. The Burren Rocks festival is an annual event organised by the Geopark team and celebrates the geological heritage of the region. We take part in National Heritage week by organizing a free themed event and support the Burren Ecotourism Networks Burren Food Fayre which celebrates the local harvest.
Burren Food Trail Events
The Burren Food Trail organises a series of pop up events and festivals between may and October each year. The events take place in surprising locations and guarantee a taste of excellent local produce, a chance to meet the producers and wonderful local entertainment. EGN Week – European Geoparks Week
An annual festival which celebrates Geoparks and the stunning landscapes takes place during the last week in May and the first week in June each year. Events take place across Europe in Each of the UNESCO GLobal Geoparks.
Each year The Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark organises a series of fun and educational events exploring how the history, culture, flora and fauna of the Burren have been shaped by the region’s geology. National Heritage Week
The Geopark team love to celebrate National Heritage week which takes place during the third week of August each year. We will have announce our comprehensive programme of events for the celebrations in June each year.
